Check out what some of our previous volunteers have to say about their experiences at Royal Seed Home:
Volunteer: Mark- USA Dates volunteering: Summer of 2009 (3 months) he came 2010 (1 month), 2011 (3 weeks), 2012 (3 weeks), 2013 (10 days), 2014 (10 days) and 2015 (7 days) Not surprisingly, my absolute favorite thing about volunteering at RSH is interacting with the children. They are delightfully optimistic, refreshingly appreciative for the basics in life, and remarkably inquisitive about the world and their place in it. I continue to return to RSH every summer because the children serve as a compelling reminder about the non-material, important things in life. I have truly cherished the time I've spent with the staff and children at RSH, and I'm deeply grateful for all the trans formative learning experiences I've shared as a volunteer. If you are considering international volunteer opportunities, I highly recommend choosing RSH. It changed my life, and it can change yours too.
Volunteer: Daniel- Canada Date Volunteering: 08/04/2012 - Spent 16 days at Royal Seed Home My experience here, at the Royal Seed Home, was fulfilling and eye opening. I was exposed to a very welcoming and cordial community that I wish to never forget. The cultural aspect of this trip was also both educational and inspirational which will help me to change my ways and to try to influence those in my community back in Canada. When I first heard about the Royal Seed Home I did not expect it to be as well off as it is now but I can appreciate the necessity to improve on what already exists or the need to expand. I hope to continue supporting the home sometime in the future because of this. The children at this orphanage are very special and I hope for the best of their futures. Although I may not have the chance to come back, I will always cherish the memories that I have gained from the this trip. Thank you for providing these opportunities for me.
Volunteer: Kathryn - USA Date Volunteering: 1 week in June 2013 Over the past year, I have volunteered in 5 different locations around the world yet my experience at Royal Seed Home surpassed them all. I spent a week at RSH and absolutely fell in love with the children! I enjoyed caring for them, cooking meals, and becoming a part of their community. I had such a memorable and life changing experience that I even wrote about my time on my travel blog: http://www.unearththeworld.com/featured/growing-roots-at-royal-seed/
Volunteer: Eliana - Brazil/USA Date Volunteering: 12/05/2011 - Spent 4 weeks at Royal Seed Home Working at Royal Seed was a life changing experience. Coming here everyday made me so happy because I felt like I could really help in some way, and at the same time have fun with the children. It gave me a great feeling of accomplishment. Naomi and everyone working here are great, and I'm so glad I met you. You helped me to understand how good Ghana and the people here are. The orphanage is like a big house, for a big family of people who love each other. Thank you for letting me work with you and be part of the Royal Seed Family! I will pray for you and tell be about the great job you do here, so that somebody else can come to help too. Love, Eliana
Volunteer: Mark- USA Date Volunteering: 1 week in August 2013 I went to the Royal Seed home on August 18, 2013 and stayed there until August 25th along with my son, Mark Jr. While I was probably not much help, I was very impressed with the orphanage operation and the great work they are doing with the kids. A lot of construction of classrooms was underway while I was there and I only wish I could have helped more with that effort. The children are all so cute, disciplined and well behaved that one can't help but be amazed. They are all extremely eager to learn everything they can from you. It was a great and worthwhile experience!
